Our Flag and The Pledge We Make KKD

Our Flag
The Pledge We Make

Please just listen to
the words of John Wayne before
you read any further. I think you will
be as inspired by this as I was/am.

The Pledge is not just a bunch of
pretty words. It is what it says
'A Pledge... A Commitment'
to our country that our forefathers
founded on the simple principle
of an unshakeable trust and faith in God!
and now because there are those that
are offended by the mention of God
push to have it done away with
or at best altered.
If my pledge or my mention
of God offends you then step
out of the room/stadium.
But do not strip me of
not just my faith and beliefs,
but my rights, heritage and customs.

Our flag I hold very dear.
While some may feel it to be their right
of expression to burn it in protest,
the thoughts of such a disrespectful act
makes me shudder.
That Flag is the soul of our country
and before you decide to take a match to it
or attempt to dishonor it in any way
just remember
That flag has draped so many...
too many...
coffins of our returning heroes
and is all a mother/wife has
physically left to cling to.
So please remember
it is not just a piece of material ....
It is the soul of this awesome country
we call home.
In order to accept what this awesome
country has to offer you have to be
willing and compelled to accept Her ways.
If you can not feel the love and pride
that America is your home land
and accept the ways of this land
then I ask why are you here
All I ask is that everyone treat
each other with kindness and respect
God asks us to love our neighbor
and I dont believe that is restricted to
race religion or location.

When I look at our flag

The Stars
Represent the very same ones that
watch over each of us from the
heavens and guide ships across
the sea and soldiers across foreign soils.

The Red
Represents the blood
that has been shed for hundreds
of years to preserve our freedoms
and the passion I have for my country.

The White
Represents the pure love
God showers on each of us,
believers and non-believers,
each and every day.

The Blue
Represents the sea and skies
that for many years has carried
our brave military to far away lands
and then back to shores
that welcome them home.

And yet there are those who wish to have
the public mention of God abolished
The Knights of Columbus
are the ones responsible for having
'Under God'
added to our pledge and to have that
removed will be a tragic tragic loss.
I am but one person
but trust me
I will be heard loud and clear...

If you will notice the white bar (stripe) of our flag
supports the blue, the stars and the red bar
which to me signifies the fact
that God is and always has been
the foundation of my awesome America.

No one will take these away from me.
I will worship God
whenever and wherever I want

I will fly our colors
with such love, pride and devotion
every single day

I will fight for my God
my Country and her Flag
by the power of my pen
when and where I please.

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
