Riding a Sea Born Zephyr
She came into my life
cloaked in mystery
singing songs known only
by the sirens in a distant harbor.
She smelled of sea mist.
Gliding on puffs of breeze,
flowing in incandescent moments
of unspoken passion.
She blew scattershot kisses
of hot breathed desire
that flew by my waiting lips…
to an abstract destination.
Her image was fleeting,
my wanting sincere.
She passes this way but once
and I smile while I cry.
She caught me dreaming
thus my heart was too slow.
