When I Reminisce
I hope my love for you brought you sunshine after rain
I hope each day was happier because I was there for you
Friendship like ours was a rare and precious gift given
It extended beyond our mind's understanding view.
Looking forward to the kind words we exchanged
The encouragement of listening and lending advice
Reaching realms of enlightenment not often experienced
All in all a relationship that was so special and nice
I shall always be grateful that you and I met
It was excitement beyond my daily dull routine
The love shared met with spiritual compensation
God's love and forgiveness in it could be seen.
Altho God saw fit to take you from this life so soon
Within my heart you still live and continue to exist
Thoughts of you enter my mind each and every day
This once in a life time event brings joy when I reminisce.
