Get Rid Of The Advertisements

She knew the truth
It was in her guilty mind,
I never mentioned it
But I couldn't unwind.

It was such an explosion
It ripped open my heart,
To hear from a friend
That we were about to part.

She closed the door
Without even saying goodbye,
I thought I was dreaming
I could only think why?

We had not argued
Was I sitting in reality's chair?
I was a man of love and compassion
Loyalty love and care.

I admit I couldn't buy her diamonds
Or a palace of pure gold,
And I have never found out the truth
Now I sit here miserable, grey and old.
