Get Rid Of The Advertisements

wrestling the beast
I remember sitting bedside
as you lay there
your body riddled with cancer
fought for one more breath.

I cried.

you smiled
and professed your faith.

You're amazing...

I have one bad day
and ask 'why me?'

But that day,
through it all,
with your gestures
you stood up and exclaimed
'I win, I'm finally going home!'

You will always live in our memories
