Each Season

Springtime came home so sweetly,
Scattering blossoms and silver dew.

Gentle Summer spent her days
Beneath skies of morning glory blue.

Autumn marched right out on stage
Wearing a gown, scarlet and tangerine.

Undaunted Winter brought a wonderland.
Sparkling diamonds like I've never seen.

Thus, the seasons four,
Each memorable.
Each playing a special part.
But, it's Autumn
In her burnished gown
That has stolen my heart.
