The Wandering Mind

Through smiles and tears I learn forgiveness,
As a poet I love to use the rhyming pen,
The stillness of God's peace I have found,
Creating a wonderment deep within.
Contradiction of many kinds often arises,
Lonely roads we sometime must travel,
As winter follows the beauty of autumn,
There's no denial, mysteries we unravel.
How much of our life has been predestined,
Was it meant for you and I to meet years ago,
Was it God's design for us to share love,
And let happiness continue to flow?
Haunting forever fills the wandering mind,
As we wonder about our impending fate,
We rest assured it's all in God's hands,
What ever is placed upon our plate.
