Just We Two

Will this kiss measure up,
do you think, my love,
to the kiss we shared last night?
Are Good Morning kisses as thrilling,
filled with heart-thumping joy and delight?

Will your warm, strong arms surround me,
holding me so very near
as our trembling lips find each other,
will this kiss measure up, my dear?

When separate sweet breaths intermingle,
unspoken words
express two hearts afire,
will I be strong enough
to turn away, my darling,
or will we fall into that vortex of desire?

None shall know
for I'm not telling of the outcome,
none are privy to our love but you and I;
they might exercise a vast imagination
but rules of privacy must now apply.
