Our Stars
Grab me a handful of flowers
And I can entwine them with the stars
That will fill up the empty space
Linking Mercury to Mars
Give me the glow of the moon
So that I can light up the night
Sowing a glimmer into the twilight fabric
Extinguishing the fright
Hand me a quill and inkwell
And I will engrave our story in the heavens
Embedding our memories where we will always see them
Up to these seconds
Retrieve a cupful of water
Which I will sprinkle on the horizon of time
That will sparkle as diamond
To enchant our rhyme
And finally we can look up
To see a living night lined with stars
So that we can laugh under them
Knowing that they are ours
