Mother

Mother...

A mother's love
transends time and space
memories of a warm embrace
... provide saving grace
Sweet memories shared
caress a soul soon bared
void of death's empty grasp
Life lived to fullest scope
forgetting world's coldest task
left in destiny's empty glass
Joy in mourning sun
brings sweet release
when joined with Hope's
Faithful hand
A rose placed upon the grave
guiding hand of sweetest touch
missing you much too much
Following footsteps to glory devine
are those left behind
Winged Angels carry dreams
placed in memories' bank again
Holding back those tears
and sorrows shed through the years
Soon Heaven's gates will open wide
Welcoming all to come inside
where those gone before now reside
to walk once more
in Love's sweet grace
and place a kiss upon your face
Knowing the reunion is complete
while we rest at Jesus' feet.

Happy Birthday Mother
