My Love

Not as the tide that turns,
Not as the wind or storm,
Not as ever is forever, my love
It’s your love that keeps me warm

Not as the river’s banks,
Not as the season’s four,
Not as the ocean’s waves, my love
It’s you that I adore,

Not as the gleam in eyes,
Not as the moon’s eclipse,
Not as the whisper in ear, my love
It’s that smile upon your lips,

Not as time or distance,
Not as feelings of connection,
Not as long as you’re mine, my love
It’s my heart that pledges affection,

Not as the night is dark,
Not as the day is long,
Not as the sun is bright, my love
It’s with you that I belong,

Not as long as you love me, my love
It’s with you that I belong.
