Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Something I can Believe

We were standing on the hilltop
Where the old Maple trees grow
I wished the world would stop
When you said ' Its time for me to go.'

But the world just kept on spinning
You left me standing there alone
A kiss good-bye was given
Then you drove off in the snow

I need some air to breathe
Something that I can believe
I need some water to drink
Something that is real to me

I was standing by the Ohio River
Where the dirty water flows
Waiting for you to return
You never came so I went home

And the world just kept on spinning
As I stood there all alone
No hello kiss was ever given
And the cold air chilled me to the bone

I need some air to breathe
Something that I can believe
I need some water to drink
Something that is real to me
