Get Rid Of The Advertisements

A Testimony of Love

We went shopping last week,nothing special,
just foodstuffs which we must unpack.
While Ches was unloading some stuff from the car
I made for our door at the back.

With my cane, across grass, reached the concrete,
started up the slow incline of ramp.
There are no treacherous slippery spots,
neither patches inclined to stay damp.

Yet somehow I felt myself falling,
at least that is my understanding;
but felt warm, strong arms surround me,
protecting me from a hard landing.

Gob-smacked with absolute wonder,
I lay there, numbed, in full awe.
How many times must the Saviour save me
as he has done, time and time before?

Just the tiniest graze on my elbow
and a niggling ache in an arm;
so thankful to God for His mercy and love,
ensuring I come to no harm.

Absolute wonder?
Absolute truth!
