The Dance and the Journey

Life, its paths and unplanned journeys,
Takes us to places we often wish not to go
But there are those times we all must know,
Those moments which will likely define us.
We are destined to take these journeys
For they are the truths that mold us.
Yes, we make choices, seeking the simple
Reasoning for each path's purpose.
O, how we wish the map could be simple
And not, as it would seem, simply complicated,
Leaving us both confused and frustrated,
As we try to understand its purpose.
Life is a dance, a journey, an unknown reality
And we, its travelers, will make it what it will be.
