I had to go, I had no choice in the matter
If it were up to me I would have stayed
Stayed to love you and keep up the chatter
You brought joy into my life like no other
Giving me love like I had never known
Each day that our relationship continued
Brought more satisfaction as it had grown
I wanted to give you all my love but couldn't
Barriers and walls were build around us we knew
Keeping us far away from each other but giving
Deep peace and excitement of our love so true
The scent of you remains in my dreams
You were always so dear to my heart

Even though we remained always apart
Time is passing, loving memories linger still
