Bye and Bye

A gentle-hearted, caring soul
who gave unceasingly;
to cheer, encourage, comfort, aid,
beyond the realms of poetry.

Ten years and more, she was my friend,
to confide in and to trust;
dear AliceAnne is in my heart,
remembering her, a must.

Her poetry reflected
that gentleness of heart;
always a subtle message
in the words she would impart.

I thank you, Lord, for placing
this dear woman in my life.
Please comfort those she cared for
as a mother, grandma, wife.

May they remember, as they softly wipe
a stray tear from an eye;
they will meet her once more when they reach
that sweet shore bye and bye.

Remembering AliceAnne,
darling friend.
