An Apple for the Teacher

We need to dedicate,
an apple for the teacher,
who loves and respects,
their students all the same,
remembering each one by name.

The teacher who understands,
children have problems at home,
when many times their thoughts drift,
and they can't help it when minds roam.

I had many good teachers,
an apple for the teacher I'd give,
deep respect I had for each one of them,
they always taught me how I could better live.

I wanted to be a teacher too,
fate didn't work for me that way,
I loved children and I always wanted,
to be able to be with them each and every day.
