Behind Hidden Walls

She was raised in empty rooms
There was no love and darkness loomed
All looked fine to the world outside
Cause everything was hidden inside

Life went on for many years
And the child grew up living in fear
She lost her innocence quite young
And evil was what she lived among

She thought all lived in this way
She was alone her father’s prey
But she grew up very strong
And somehow knew this was wrong

And even tho her days were grey
God shown His light one her some days
And let her know He loved this child
Even tho she’d been defiled

After many years of pain
She found her voice and screamed his name
Today she lives inside the light
I am the child that won that fight
