Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Under The Shadow of His Wing

A life threaded with pain
And a heart shattered in two
Memories better left forgotten
That invaded my mind all through

And though the pain is left hanging
Lingering inside my mind
Joy invades my heart
As I’ve found a safe place to hide

Under the shadow of His wing
Near to His beating heart
Never alone to walk on this earth
His presence will never depart

Joy in the midst of pain
Laughter along with tears
Safety inside His love
And comfort instead of fear

A river of rapids had swept me
Into the rock and debris
But His loving arms wrapped around me
And one day set me free

Although life is still cruel
As pain and sorrow live on
Joy invades my heart
And my mind is filled with His song

Memories, yes I remember
All the pain and the terror
But under the shadow of His wing
I do not have a care

I still walk on this journey
Opening doors I can’t see
But I am no longer alone
As He always walks beside me
