A MOMENT OF HAPPINESS
As I toss and turn
in bed,
I wonder what
the day has in
store for me ahead,
Every day seems the
same,
Just another number
on the calendar,
and perhaps another
name
I know that happiness
can be a single
moment in time,
and I wonder if
I have had all of
mine in a few hours
Or if again I will
get the chance of
pure, unadulterated
happiness once again
I suppose that is what
makes life interesting,
just not knowing when
I have a good life
really, but there's a
piece missing of my
heart,
but that story, I
won't even start.
Love is forever, and
the bond cannot
be broken,
thrown away like
some simple token
So I live on my hopes
and dreams,
perhaps one day
they will come true,
when everything is
right for me and you
