Should lovers one day part
they can still be friends
entrenched within each heart
a love that never ends
Their break-up … for good reason
believing it is best
then with each change of season
they will face the test
Deep inside a pain
punishes the pair
strong feelings will remain
both people sense them there
Is there some way back
a future not so bad
perhaps when fate will stack
good cards instead of bad

as forward they will go
