Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Held Up

A gentle breeze searches
Here in the Ohio valley
But you're not the same
You were offered a family

We took you in
And you let us all down
It wasn't just me
It was a life you had found

I stood back and watched
As your magic took hold
I really thought it was you
That took my life by storm

My family really loved you, me too
But you took us for granted
I suppose that is my due
I could take what landed

But you hurt my family
I could take it myself
People you knew for years
You shot them in the heart

I somehow knew you would
But I opened my soul to you
My walls melted through
I knew it was something you might do

But I love you anyway
It's hard to forget 'soulmates'
And I hope you find
What makes you happy
