Beloved Christ

For our souls, beloved Christ lay his heart to rest
He lived a life of hardship ~ the ultimate test
Facing the scrutiny of many a wicked
Yet still, for them, love he harboured

Charity begins at home, He taught
Where his abode was the world, for His brothers he fought
Embodying an armor of pure white light
He soothed many a sorrow and countless a plight

Asleep he lay for only a breadth of a moment
Never did he allow His passing to be a reason for lament
Holding His head in humble pride
He accepted his destiny, with Our Father's will he did abide

Awake in our hearts and breathing through our actions
Christ's light delivers celestial sanctions
For us Christ was nailed to the cross ~ lay his body bare
To give us the gift of eternal life ~ a treasure so beautiful, so rare

******
Happy Easter, Beloved hearts.
May I thank you for embodying the light of Christ through your sacred hearts
