Coral Rose

A lovely coral coloured rose,
lacking thorns...
perhaps...
suppose...
no real rose grows
without those,
not even where the wild wind blows.

Sweet donor
did thoughtfully thorns snip,
ensuring blood from wounds won't drip,
thus giving me a thornless grip.
