Music Fustration

I just wanted to be a Jazz singer
Started out with a tenor voice ...strong
Out of my mouth came a blue note
With a plea to you ..please sing alone
Nothing had ever prepared me
And I never liked change anyway
I wanted to be a Jazz singer
Still trying to be till this day
Have I been singing an old song?
Most of you know it I swear
Of teardrops and losing and leaving
It reeks of depression and beer
