Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Secrets, Rumors and Lies

It's been so long
Since I've looked into your eyes
Maybe it was wrong
Trying to hide our love inside

But It took off
Our loved pushed past the limit
But it was the cost
That past the stage of innocence

Absolutely we knew
Our love had to be hidden
But rumors grew
In a love that was forbidden

It should be in the open
Why keep our emotions just between us?
I wanted the world to know
That our hearts had been in touch

As the secret got out
Some rejoiced because we
With a love so stout
Everyone knew that it was meant to be

But you pushed away
You know everyone was cheering for us
It was meant to be that way
But again you seemed not to trust

You believed the rumors
Of those against me had thrust
You didn't believe my words
You trusted strangers for their lust

You passed on me
You listened to all the muck
All lies you believed
It was you that didn't trust

We had our secrets, that's true
But you trusted the rumors
And all the lies that were never proved
They got their way, which you let them do
