Get Rid Of The Advertisements

My Grinning Psyche

Words jingle enticingly between us
         closer now
                 closer
moments ache with the anticipation
of camouflaged desire
your stubble softens
neath the humidity of my breath

Luxuriating near the bend of your lip
delighting in your sleight of hand
sibilant syllables samba
                  softly from my lips
         ruffling through my reality

Some day the world will wonder
'was she just placing words on a page
         or revealing tidbits
                 from her sordid memoirs?'
but tonight the sky will kiss me
         a sultry goodnight
while visions of lust do a grinding salsa
on the well worn dance floor
                 of my grinning psyche
