Perfection Perplexed

Pristine petals, luscious green leaves
Pretty shades of pink, crimson and rose
Passive hues of lavender, lilac and blue
Palest peach and yellow, soft and mellow
Purest of virgin white, richness of gold
Plucked from their existence
Purely for whimsy
Put high on a pedestal to wilt and die
Pitiful whimpers and silent cries
Permeate the air but no one listens
Perhaps but with One exception

Written for Brandy's Flower Bouquet Challenge
Words used are whimsy, exception, richness,
passive and virgin
