Everyone Loves A Teddy Bear

In my living room , on a display shelf
Sits your precious Teddy bear
He's well worn ...but not ragged
Hasn't lost a lot of hair

Time was he was a fluffy bear
All bright and shiny new
It seems like only yesterday
When I gave that bear to you

When he was new, he was white as snow
But now...years have rolled away
Old father time has kissed his frame
So now he's turned to grey

Once your chubby arms adored him
When each night at time to sleep
I'd lay him down ...you'd hug him tight
Smile and tell me ' Teddy's sweet'

And when you grew to be a teen
So sweet , pretty and strong
At bedtime when you went to bed
Old teddy went along

Then one day...he watched you walking
Down an aisle in bridal white
And you left behind your precious bear
Now you were someones wife

So he just sits here forgotten
All lonesome by himself
But today you had a baby
So soon he'll leave that shelf

Cause every one loves teddys
So when your boy can play
Bear will tell him all your secrets
From the land of yesterday

Till then he'll be my treasure
A much prized souviener
For there's no amount of money
That can buy that Teddy Bear
