Gratitude

(A Lune)

Be thankful for all
things given
in and of the heart

For joy and laughter,
compassion
and hugs from afar

The moon and the stars,
friends that love,
a baby's first tooth

Words that bless your soul,
forgiveness ...
and the will to change

Form Poetry is Fun! 10
Hosted by Al Thomas

The Lune was invented and named
by poet Robert Kelly in the 1960's
out of a dissatisfaction with our
Western use of haiku. The form is
often called The American Haiku.
