Long Time Friends
She loved him deeply with an emotional love,
A love that hurt because they could not unite,
Their hearts connected but by miles separated,
Because to be together would not be right.
They confided in each other and grew close,
Depending upon each other for comfort and love,
Always knowing friendship would be there,
But following guidance of God above.
Their relationship was so incredible
Fulfilling a need they each shared,
Was often mesmerizing and very special
To know how much someone cared.
Months became years and they remained,
Friends by Internet and phone were they,
Always giving a ray of sunshine to each other,
Until his sudden passing one sad day.
