Thoughts of you fill my heart
Overflowing into my soul
Where time alone has taken its toll
But I still remember...
The hurt will sometimes ease
Only to return like a burning flame
Searing me in sorrow's name
And I weep once more for 'us'
Oh yes, I still remember you
With every breath, every sigh
That slips from parted lips and I
Remember all that cannot be.
I have locked away a piece of my heart
Holding all that hurts to remember.
Oh, that pain would relent and ease
The longing for that love, for us!
I will always remember the love of you
And in memories it will always be.
