Get Rid Of The Advertisements

In the Garden of Love

He looked to me once
When I was younger
When I was beautiful
We walked in the gardens
He shared his pain with me
He shared his hopes
He shared his dreams

He kissed me once
When I was younger
When I was beautiful
We shared our lips in love
Under the apple tree
He was happy then
Happy with me

He loved me once
When I was younger
When I was beautiful
He held my hand
With a ring
He promised me
In front of god
In the garden
Under the apple tree

He killed me once
When I was younger
When I was beautiful
In a jealous rage
That night in the garden
He stabbed me twice
Under the apple tree

I am no longer young
I have grown since he buried me
Under the apple tree
I am no longer beautiful
My body rots
I have no beauty left in me
And the apple tree bleeds for me

He walks above in the garden of our love
With no remorse
No despair
He holds her hand
Under the apple tree
Above me
She is young
She is beautiful
She eats from an apple that bleeds for me
