No Fair!

Everywhere I turn are sweet reminders.
I'm diabetic yet it's in my face,
even saturates the world of music,
Sugar Sugar doesn't know its place.

Ice Cream, frozen, lusciously delicious,
Honey, oozing, golden from the comb,
The Sweetest Things are yummy Candy Kisses,
Can't take no more, Mate, I'm escaping home.

Dear Heart makes me think of lolly letters,
for Rock Around the Clock, read rocky road,
Let Me Call You Sweetheart,(all day sucker),
Sweet Violets, (and I'll probably implode!

No matter what, I make associations,
so with Ferris Wheels and Candy Floss Sweet,
I'll take my daily readings like a good girl,
then, Sweetie Pie, I must admit defeat.

I'm goin up The Big Rock Candy Mountain,
to indulge myself in lemon sherbet fountain!
