Looking For A Sign

~*~

Born way too soon
Odds stacked against him
The powers that be
Sadly said 'let him go'

It's in God's hands
Your baby boy's future
Looking for a sign to guide them
His parents gazed through a window

There in a rock garden below
Where only the cacti can survive
Amazingly a blue flower in granite
Had begun suddenly to grow

It's stems were strong
The leaves were plentiful
It's blooms were breathtaking
Such a gift miraculous it would bestow

In huge proclamation
A small cry was heard
Tiny arms seeming to reach for them
'Twas nary a soul left not all aglow

I am here
I have arrived
Don't ever lose faith
Never let me go!
