The Heartbeat of The Willow

Greg Matchick - Fine Art Photography

~*~

Breathtaking autumn colors through a willow tree

As summer gives way to fall so elegantly

But as the harsh winds of winter begin to blow

It will cause the heartbeat of the willow to slow

Dried up tears amass suddenly upon the ground

Yet trunk and limbs stand strong in silent resound

'Til spring when blissful showers bring nourishment

The willow knows the drops of rain are heaven sent

Budding once again as the seasons come full circle

I'm overwhelmed and in awe of this beautiful miracle

If one should ponder about life with uncertainty or doubt

The beating of the willow's heart is what it's all about
