Ribbons of Clouds

I looked at clouds from both sides ...only to discover

When ribbons of clouds float up in the blue...
They are likely playing tag with each other
Enjoying themselves

At night..rendered in white on black
They recall for me the stories of..
Rum running schooners in full
sailed flight from evil theiving pirates

By day they resemble big white plump
fluffy pillows laying on a bed of soft azure blue
ready to cradle the heads of sleeping babies

But when the sky is leaden full of gentle greys
they become pails of angel tears shed in sorrow
for what mankind has become ...sitting there...
Waiting for the littlest angel to come pour out the rain

But always ..they remind me of myself chasing you
across the meadows of our childhood..
Back when the world was young

Ah yes my friends ...I have indeed looked at clouds
