It Doesn't Matter

~*~

Since the very beginning of time, dear
Songs have been sung about this too
Everybody needs a place to call home
It doesn't matter what we say or do

Maybe a shanty to come in from the rain
Or one may call it just a roof and four walls
It doesn't matter what we say or do, hon
Because we all need a soft place to fall

Children need a place to come home to
And it doesn't matter how old they are
A place they can be themselves and just feel loved
Maybe catch some fireflies in a glass jar

Wherever I am with you, I am already home
Whether in a fine castle or a deerskin teepee
It doesn't matter because I love you so much
And you take such good care of me!
