To Raise

your hands to bid for leather chaise

raises his hands, submission sought,
gives up the fight as he was taught,

it's like hands work by reflex nerve,
you think again, attempt to swerve,
to self-preserve; to self-preserve.

whether the tune is pop or swing,
just praise the King; just praise the King.
