Comets of Crimson Passion

While he sleeps in deepest slumber
those moments just before he wakes
I lie beside him in awesome wonder
with each and every breath he takes

Beneath his most magnificent chest
lies a heart that beats just for me
He loved me so much, I became his quest
How lucky could one woman be

Breathe in, breathe out, my lover man
Not too soon you'll awaken with alarm
Giving the clock an unappreciative slam
You'll then pull me close into your arms

If heaven could be somewhere on earth
It would have to be right here in our bed
To use phenomenal to describe it's worth
I think astronomical could be said instead

As you take me to the moon and back
And thy comets of crimson passion seed
You fulfill everything, within me, I lack
My darling, know you are all I'll ever need

Lying together, basking in the afterglow
Bliss like this is what dreams are made of
There's something I pray you already know
How blessed I am being the one you love
