Delusions Of Grandeur

I'd like to teach the world to sing.
What an impossible task it would be.
I've heard the whispers, and they say,
She can't carry a tune in a basket, you see.

I've dreamed of making my debut,
Singing with the all-time greats.
But, my vocal chords just won't comply.
It's all governed by the fates.

I'll reserve my aria's for my morning shower.
The soap suds will not complain.
I could never figure sharps and flats.
I'll spare the world the pain and refrain.

Songs
I'd like to teach the world to sing
