Years Precious and Few

A pocket full of sunshine
life had hidden it's clue,
what will the future bring
would the sky always stay blue?

All that remains are
these memories to view,
the sometimes thoughts
of a friendship they had so true.

Daily messages
cheered them through,
kept them believing
not feeling quite so blue.

Love's understanding
just grew and grew,
Hearts united tightly
dream... all they could do.

There was no doubt
it would end they knew,
time was running out
years were precious and few.
