Everyday Miracles

This old world is full of miracles
Behold a sweet red rose
A glittering rainbow...thunderstorm
What else can explain those

An old man survives a hundred years
A baby new is born
A wooly lamb.. a puppy dog
Day dawning. .yet unformed

We all see things we can 't explain
Pass by them every day
As we just take them for granted
Travel on down life 's highway

Like a midnight sky all filled with stars
An ocean rolling..blue
Each one of them God 's miracle
He chose to share with you

Take that feeling when you first find love
Or some bitter tears that flow
And the sweet moan of a wayward wind
Among smoking chimneys ...low

And consider this you poets
Each time your voice is heard
Tell me is not it a miracle
That the good lord gave you...words

To write and make somebody cry
To take someones breath away
For poems are always miracles
Where your soul is on display
