~ In The Morning ~

In the morning when I rise, before the dawn has swept the skies...

I hear the soft sound of his breath
and I smile...the tenderness
that we shared just hours ago
has left my skin with a warm glow
So soft against the linen sheets
his gentle breath...sultry and sweet

...and as I step away it seems, I recall love’s unfolding dream...

and turn to see him lying there
true love…he sleeps without a care
Yet before he wakes I know
I’ll slip beside him soft and slow
and snuggle up in his strong arms
where he will rise to greet my charms

Here we’ll stay ignoring dawn and let the nighttime linger on...
