Casting a Spell with Water

Word painting with Ruby
(jollynoblefrog)

Statues of two cherubs
under a fountain in a
pond of lily pads
create a watering hole
for migrating birds...
capturing the colorful
splendor of autumn...

The splash of a waterfall
tumbling down stepped rocks...
the musical cascade of an
elaborate fountain...
the tranquility of the
sound of water...

A nomadic Red Crossbill
bathes in the dish of the
fountain before searching
for abundant crops of seeds

A hummingbird graces
a Polka dot begonia
with heart-shaped and
ruffled edges...

Trout lily and shooting stars
bring beauty to the season's
change from warm days to
cool nights of romantic lights...

The contrast of a gallery of
birds... a goldfinch perched
in a redbud tree beside a
butterfly bush...
brings a hush...
to nature's nook...
and a lover's book...
