Intercession

Does my heavenly Father know my needs
even better than I.
He has never led me to a point
then left me high and dry.

Often something will come my way
ere I know it is even required.
Now I speak here of things I've needed
not necessarily desired.

When His message came to me
some several years ago
that I was not to pray for myself,
nor request others to do so,

I had to accept this wisdom,
knowing I'd something to learn,'
just praying devoutly for others,
trusting His provision in turn.

Sometimes at night when I'm solitary,
sitting alone here in pain,
fervently praying for others
'til release comes like sweet, blessed rain.
