Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Ever and a day

Not the visioned poet in his dreams
Could describe you
Not the mastered artist at the easel
Could paint such a portrait as you
Chasing the words
Mixing pastel shades of pink and grey
Desperate, sleepless, they pursue you

Not the Musician with gilded bow
Could perform such a song as you
Not the talents of a surgeon
Could find your soul
Notes without key
A heart with a lock
Urgently, relentlessly they reach for you

And yet

In a moment of silence
As the music stopped
The picture faded
The heart missed it's dismissive beats
You appeared to me

In the blinking of an eye
In all the forms of which your spirit played
I held you
For forever and a day
