It's possible to change a life
Turn somebodys grey skies blue
For by simply saying.. Can we become friends?
You can make that old sun shine through
In the wink of your eye, you can share some love
With someone and brighten the day
Turn those old sticky weeds to roses
On life's path that we travel each day
In the wink of an eye you can reach out a touch
Someone who is troubled and sore
Just like taking the hand of a drowning man
And pulling him safely to shore
With the hint of a smile you can save a life
From life's waters tempest tossed
You can throw out a rope to bring back hope
To someone whose own is lost
With a little hug you can touch some child
Bring her love like she's never knew
Her world could depend on the smile you send
Its the star thats guides her through
With a hand full of pennies tossed in the cup
Of that veteran who's down on his luck
You can help him stand once more be a man
It won't even cost a whole buck
Yeah... just say a kind word.. share a joke you've heard
Pray a prayer.. write a poem...Share a cry
You can make this world a much better place
All it takes is a .. smile and a try!
