Get Rid Of The Advertisements

steamy

'eyes of wonder' by keishia treber courtesy of etsy.com

the day thrives in my compendium of memories
                         steamy
that’s how i remember it
                          whispers of sweat
         invaded intimate areas
temporarily hindering my current of consciousness
you lingered in my line of vision
oh, i suppose my smile encouraged you
there was no question you could be
         'the one'
to take me places i wanted to go
                 but had never been
the sun skittered across the waves
         in a deliciously sliding rhythm
                        your hands soon matched
                                 mmmmmm
you became damp fabric against my skin
         your kisses were the mead
                 my lips drank
         sweetness fermented into passion’s fruit
and when the sun crept beneath the horizon that night
                 as i remember
                                            it still was
                         steamy
