He's Just My Dog!

Well .. there's my morning paper
All torn up on the floor
And a big old smelly wet spot
Right beside my bedroom door

The food bowl is tipped over
His water bowl it is too
So I cannot help but wonder
What else he's gotten into

Had a bad day at the office
So I'd like to go upstairs
Take a shower have a sandwich
With no worries and no cares

But I gotta find my little guy
My naughty little pup
Put a stop to all his mischeif
Before he tears things up...

In the bedroom is where I found him
Siitting chewing on my shoe
And his big eyes bid me answer
Well what am I spose to do?

So I scold and he looks sorry
With his chin against the floor
In his dark eyes is this question
Don't you love me any more?

So I reach down to pick him up
And just put my arms around
This sweet and charming treasure
That somehow I have found

Just a warm and wriggly body
Two bright eyes that love shines through
And a tale just like a whirligig.
That keeps wagging just for you

And he gives the wettest kisses
Of anyone I've ever met
Couldn't help but fall in love with
His pink tongue and puppy breath

He 's my little Mr Big Shot
He has torn my world apart
And somewhere in that process
He just up and stole my heart
